Oh dear. Sally must have brought up politics or religion again. Never a good idea when in Trudie’s company.

Gladys commented on the polka dots before the autumnal equinox one too many times.

Trudie buys those teapots by the case. She likes to make a statement.

“Tea and trouble” ….that’s what we call Trudie’s little get-togethers.

But it could just as well be a nickname for Trudie herself.

She puts on a wonderful spread, I have to say….

Homemade cookies, tea cakes, sometimes scones with her own strawberry jam.

PG Tips… my favorite tea,

Nice china, even if, as Dennis points out, she buys it in bulk.

It’s all lovely until the… uh… the cookies…. hit the fan….

or the floor…

And everybody mumbles something about a good time and thank you and my husband/niece/cat needs dinner or a ride to the…. well…. you remember….

and runs out the door.

It’s all starting to seem a bit staged.

And I’m even more suspicious since I saw Trudie buying a stopwatch at Tillie’s Tempest in a Teapot Niceties and Necessities.

Y’all may say that Trudy is touchy, However, if Gladys Mae had not stuck her chewing gum under the table top, there would never have been a need for such actions.Gladys needs to thank her lucky stars that she put it under the table and nor her chair seat.( Though there is a good chance that she may be wearing the table as a crown in just a second or two.)

Even the chair appears shocked!

The white hair revolution has begun!!!! The tea has been dumped!! The day we old timers take over and……and…….what we’re doing this for again?

“Oh, you have Splenda… Do you have any Sweet ’n Low?” “Oh… the creamer is powdered.” “The cookies are a bit stale, dear.” “That IS a raisin, isn’t it?” “I think the dishwasher missed a spot.” “How long did you let the pot sit?” “Is that the same dress you wore at Bingo yesterday?” “What’s that smell?” A host can only take so much.

They’re not all mad there. Just Trudie.
