While Martin and Millicent may seem a little silly in their “special moment”, I think it’s sweet.
The older I get, the more I enjoy sharing little “special moments” with my First Maite.
It can be something as simple as flowers for no special reason, a foot massage, cooking her breakfast, or even just taking a walk together.
As we age, the more we appreciate what little time we have left and savor what to others may seem unimportant or mundane. I have come to realize that every moment I spend with her is a special moment.

Yes, Edna. Now take your balloon, and…..do what you always do in your special moments. I will not eavesdrop, promise.

Congratulations to you both. Special moments are rare. Whatever brings one on, bring it on! Take a turn at the stereo and cut a little carpet.

I’m just happy they still have them.
Whatever it means and whatever they do….
it’s good, after a couple of million moments together, that some are still special.

Some days it just doesn’t pay to blow up your balloons. (Ruth Buzzi — Laugh-In)

Savor those special moments. Of course, in that neighborhood there seems to be a lot of them.
