“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.”― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings
My wife and I were practically running through the airport to get to the gate before our flight departed, we were very late. Just as we got to the gate, I stumbled and went down, down into the back of her legs causing her to go down. There we were, two 60 something’s rolling on the floor in front of the gate agents. They were stunned and took a few moments before thinking about helping us up. We were unhurt and made the flight, last on the plane. We laugh now.
The worst part is that everything slows down enough for you to realize that you are going to go down and there is nothing that you can do about it and it’s probably going to hurt when you hit the ground.

Let’s not kid ourselves, Wilma’s bearing was never all that dignified.

Fifi is just hoping she doesn’t fall on him. He’s already had his tail stepped on 22 times, so you can’t blame him.

I was demonstrating how I can’t walk a straight line. ( born with a foot that turns slightly inward).

That definately ‘curbed’ her bearing!

Fifi swears she had nothing to do with it. But she has that “Muttley” laugh, so I don’t trust her.

Only.. if someone is watching. One can get away with only a bruise, sometimes.

The trick is not falling on the dog.

I’m thinking most of us have been there done that at some point in our life…(and usually when someone’s watching!)

I flew through the air with the greatest of ease.
Landed on my head and both of my knees.
I sat up and saw, I broke my best glasses,
And was dripping fresh blood on one of my dresses.
I slowly stood up and headed back home,
One look at my face, and I got on the phone.
Calling a friend to the ER I went,
Seven stitches I got, and I knew it was not,
A good day to go into work.
