Descartes was having dinner when his valet asked him if he’d like another glass of wine. He said, “I think not” – and vanished. My favorite variation on the phrase is “Coito Ergo Sum”. In English, it ain’t safe to post here.

Bob, you should go out and buy a sense of humor somewhere. He wrote “Coito” on purpose. Do the Latin, you’ll figure it out…maybe.

coito, ergo cum?(Yes, I spelled it the way I wanted to.)I believe there is a possibility Bob’s comment may have been influenced by the opening line from the Moody Blues song “In the Beginning”

Dammit, runar! I was gonna tell that joke. Now I have nothing, but I still am.

I don’t think Johnny Potseed exists. He’s not mentioned in the bible.

Some of you other’s, I never took Latin so all you postings are greek to me!

    Have a good day all.

If you prefer “I think, therefore I am,” to “force without wisdom falls of its own weight,” you are putting Descartes before Horace.

Not knowing Latin, I don’t know how is should be expressed, but ought it not be more like “my parents coito(ed) ergo sum”?
