I have to agree, public libraries are one of my favorite spots. And yes, it is good that they have computers and internet connection for people to use. When our internet has been down, we’ve gone to the library. Of course, I go there almost weekly to pick up books & DVD’s. The restroom is a frequent stop for me, much cleaner than Walmart’s!
It is nice that Pillsbury has a homeless man for a friend.it would be nicer if he was a good enough friend to provide him with a little place to sleep and get in out of the rain.
i read a true story about a community who helped the homeless that way, made water-tight little cabins that were just big enough to have a cot and room to walk on the side so they didn’t have to crawl into the cot over the end. Each one they made had a short door that could lock and a window with a shutter.it helped those people to have a sense of place, and gradually some were able to find jobs. It was a type of pay it 1st, so they could often pay it forward.
Pam…….Everyone that reads this strip on a regular basis knows that Barney has offered Clyde everything from a job to just giving him money….. turned down every time! He says he doesn’t want to be indebted!
