If we go by the “real” stories of vampires over the popular culture then most vampires are not bothered by the sun. Not all of them drink blood and many of them are also kind of like werewolves. Some change into balls of light, others split in half, some eat feces or just your breath. Some are more like ghosts and just suck on your soul. So both of them are wrong!
