At least in Canada you can ask to have your ballot destroyed. You are registered as voting but your ballot is destroyed in front of you.

Outlaw career politicians…limit them to one term and send them home. And also, without any retirement or other benefits (like health insurance).
This is why it is called a revolving door in Congress.
Surely you at least wait for them to be elected before you start PAYING them?
Oh, I’m quite sure they are well accustomed to “dipping in the pot” or “sucking the teat” long before they run for office…
