Apparently this happened to me as well. I was about Audrey’s age or so and my dad had a full beard and then he went away to Japan for 3 weeks and came home clean shaven and I was terrified of him for like a week. Thankfully my dad is the type who gets a literal 5 o’clock shadow and he let his moustache grow back in and then I stopped crying every time he picked me up.
