When I see my wife at the thermostat looking at it , getting ready to press something I yell what are you doing ,,leave it alone, always “there is a chill in here”. Why does she have to go near it. I bet it’s because her pop used to keep his shotgun in the closet right next to his. And the kids took him seriously.
Down here, it is the opposite. I try to delay the use of the air conditioner, while my wife is so quick to achieve temperatures below 70 for the whole summer.

You can always put on more clothes when it is cold, but there are limits as to how many you can take off when it is too hot.

My other half complains about the cold and is hotter than the radiators. I’m too hot and get moaned at for “being cold”.
