    Once heard 10 lbs on your abdomen…feels like 20 lbs to your spine, how true that is no idea.

    As you get older, the “discs” in your spine get “squishy” and start compressing, putting pressure on the nerves that radiate from the spinal cord, especially the sciatic nerve, which is one cause of lower back pain. Some exercises help, but wrong movements definitely can set it off. I remember the “old guys” years ago telling me to be careful of my back, but like all of us I was young and dumb…
