My cousin Barb did that once (forgot to sign the nice card). The return address had no name, just a street address we didn’t recognize. They had just moved in. Eventually we matched her up with the mystery address and got a good chuckle out of it.
I didn’t know ditz always meant female. I’ve known a lot of male ditzes. Just like male blondes who have somehow been clever enough to escape being the butt of blonde jokes.
Dumbass. Used as either an adjective or noun. Rarely used to refer to females. But they are not exempt. (I have mailed cards with the address right way up and the stamp on the bottom left corner.)
