I’m glad some of the neighbors have left their decorations up and extra day or two or I wouldn’t have seen them. It seems a few of them have been visiting Pinterest for ideas.

I had a Jack-o’-Lantern like that years ago. As it sagged it got more and more creepy and scary looking. Finally disposed of it in mid-November.

Well, it may only be the day after Halloween, but I’d say you’re there.

I put away my Halloween things yesterday, mostly so I could get out the Thanksgiving ones. I put up Christmas the day after Thanksgiving (I have the day off and don’t do Black Friday). Christmas stays up until New Year’s Day (again have the day off so it’s a good day to take care of that).

Our Christmas decorations stay up until Twelfth Night (Jan 6) The “Twelve days of Christmas” are Dec 25 – Jan 6. When I was a kid, all the neighbors used to bring their Christmas trees to our house on Twelfth Night. We would have a giant bonfire, (we lived in the country) drink hot cider and sing Christmas Carols to usher out the Christmas season.
