What has always worked for me is to hang up a fake wasp nest, costs a couple of dollars for two at Home Depot. The real wasps will move home fairly quickly. I hang fake wasp nests at the front and back of my house every spring (they usually last a couple of years until they fall apart) and I haven’t had a real wasp nest since. Before I started doing this, it was an annual occurrence.
