This story arc has been like beating a dead horse. I’m assuming the artists had a purpose but I’m not sure what it was unless they’re making fun of Betty and Bud for some reason.
Wake up people!!! Talk to a cop to find out what’s happening. Most towns have a shelter. Most towns have “soup kitchens”. If, a really big if, they want a job, the can use the shelter as a home address. The money they get goes to cigarettes, booze, or drugs. Or, this is just a scam.
As someone said yesterday and it’s worth repeating today: This arc has gone off the rails. Nothing funny about it and it makes no sense why someone would go through all of this when they could simply donate to a homeless charity or volunteer their time at a soup kitchen. Seriously, the hour or so (in comic time) they’ve spent getting money from the bank and driving around town looking for beggars could have been spent volunteering!

No one behind you. Best yet invite them to dinner. I sometimes give out gift certificates for the nearest food. Subway is a good one.
