The number of hunters in the US is down almost 30% since 1982 and that includes city folk who do “ear shots”.
He does have a point about hunting. You can only learn so much from a book; a lot of hunters I know were beneficiaries of “tribal knowledge” — learning by doing it with someone else who was experienced.
