Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for February 18, 1996
Transcript:
ZING! Nate: Hey! Watch it! Mrs. Godfrey: Nate! What are you doing doodling in class? You're supposed to be working on your report on ancient Greece! Nate: I am! I am! Mrs. Godfrey: Then what's this? Nate: That? That's...uh...that's Zeus! And on the left there, I'll draw some other gods, like...uh...you know...Hero and Plato and...umm... Mrs. Godfrey: Why is Zeus holding a grenade launcher? Nate: I'm updating him for a modern audience. Mrs. Godfrey Nice try. Nate: No, really! I was just about to draw a "Z" on his chest!
Plato was not a god. Nate could be thinking of Pluto, but he’s Roman, not Greek.
