Gina says, "I knew it! I knew my bean plant would sprout before anyone else's!" Gina says, "See? It just barely peeked up out of the dirt!" Nate says, "And then it saw your face and went back underground." Gina says, "It did not!" Chad says, "So bean plants have eyes?" Nate says, "And brains!"
If Gina’s plant HAD gone back underground after seeing her face, that would’ve been cool.
