Back when I started the strip, I decided to name Nate’s school P.S. 38 — not because I attended the real life P.S. 38, but because my street address where I grew up in New Hampshire was 38 Coe Drive. (If I’d named Nate’s middle school after my own middle school, he’d be attending Oyster River Middle School.)
