For those who are wondering: a person’s account is rendered invisible when that person somehow abuses the privilege of posting comments. It might mean hijacking the forum by repeatedly posting irrelevant stuff; it might mean using inappropriate language; it might mean being rude or abusive to another person. The moderators are particularly sensitive to it in the case of Big Nate, because there are so many young people posting and reading. We had an especially unpleasant few days awhile back when a few commenters got nasty, and then well-meaning commenters tried to respond in kind. Since then, things have been going very well and it’s been a pleasure to read all of the comments. Thanks to everyone for that!
