...and when I rode the flamethrower, I ended up sitting next to this girl! I didn't know her, but she was cute! WICKED cute! And we got along GREAT! I mean, the ride only lasted a couple minutes, but there was CHEMISTRY between us! I could FEEL it! Then the ride ended, and i lost her in the crowd! She disappeared before I could even find out her NAME! So I said to myself: I'm going to track her down if it's the last thing I--yak yak yak...... All I asked was "how was your summer?"

Panel #2 is a REALLY NEAT optical illusion: Nate appears to be holding up a piece of plexiglas for some sort of project; his hands seem to be cradling it in front of him, but you look higher and see the top line of the plane ducking behind his head. Well played, Mr. Peirce!!
