Actually this is going better than expected. Years from now, they will look back on this and laugh, and share this story with their children. (I know this isn’t done in Big Nate, but a dream sequence of the future showing “Bigger” Nate as an adult would be kind of awesome.)
Nate seems to do better in being a friend than an object of romance. That’s a good thing. You need to be friends with your mate. After the physical attraction cools due to time or events, it is the friendship that holds couples together.
And after Nate gave a valentine to every girl in the school. Daisy was his only hope. It’s official. None of the girls in the school want to date Nate. All hope is lost.
