BIG NATE AND THE MURDER MYSTERY: PART 4

Nate is still floating in space after his school exploded, killing everybody but him. In fact, he couldn’t find any bruise or scratch on him from the explosion. Right now, he is thinking about his friends.

Nate: Oh man… I wonder what happened to Chad and Teddy… I couldn’t find them anywhere. Did they… die? Just like Dee Dee and Chad and all the other people murdered?

Nate becomes afraid, and curls up into a ball to get himself back together. After a while, he finds… a house. Floating in space. Nate, in curiosity, floats over to the house and opens the door.

Nate: Hmm… what’s in here?

He enters the house, and the door shuts and locks behind him. In the middle of the room, there’s only a small candle giving light, and Nate picks it up. He looks around the room, with nothing else to point out.

Nate: Hel- hello? Anyone here? Hello?

No response is given for a minute. Then, he hears a mysterious echo with a familiar voice. Nate, not sure who it is, has heard the voice somewhere before.

The Echo: Open the door…

Nate: What?

Nate looks around again. The only door in the room is the door he entered through. He walks over to the door, now unlocked, and opens it. To his surprise, it doesn’t lead to space; but to a black void. Nate’s candle is dimming.

Nate: Um… who are you?

The Echo: Open the door on the other side… you will find out…

Nate looks around, and there is another door a hundred feet away. He slowly walks to the door, puts his hand on the doorknob, takes a deep breath, and quietly opens it. It leads to a room with another candle in the middle, only giving more light than the one Nate is holding.

The Echo: So… you want to know who I am…?

part 3 of hunger games NateOk, we’re being let into the arena now. We get pushed to the top. “10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, LET THE 66TH HUNGER GAMES BEGIN!” I didn’t know what to do for a split second. Rush to the center? Into the wood? I decided to go to the center and get an early weapon. All the good ones were taken so I was stuck with 2 knives. A boy, from district 3 i think charged up behind me. He raised an axe and tried to cut me with it. Then he suddenly stopped and fell. There was a knife in his back. OH MY GOD! That was the first person I saw die. I mean, back home, I saw people die of starvation. But this was the first person I saw die bloodily. I quickly picked up a knife and decided to run off. When I was in the woods a few minutes later, I heard an arrow whiz past me. I saw a boy with blonde hair holding a bow. I turned around and threw a knife at him. He dodged it and notched another arrow. I noticed a girl behind him, from district 8. Out of impulse, I threw a knife at the girl. The girl screamed and died. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I JUST KILLED SOMEONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My heart was pounding. “Wow, uhhhh, thanks for saving my life. Truce?” Said the blonde. “Uhhh, yea. I JUST KILLED A PERSON IM HORRI- ``‘’calm down, it’s not your fault. I’m Francis, by the way,” Said the boy. “Nate” I replied.
