I love spring. We were sitting in the hot tub watching the steam come up off the lake. The birds were singing and visiting our feeders and each day we wake up and see changes in our plants. Life is good.

okay guys i am alive. i got word you were all worried. i was brought to the hospital by my mom Friday night. they took x-rays and made me cry, a lot. it hurt. then my doctor didnt speak English well enough and didnt open his mouth when he talked. so it was funny because the med i was on had me singing. i was in a wheeling chair rolling back and forth singing “rolling on the river” then some how got to singing “dont rock the boat, dont rock the boat dont tip the boat over.” my mother was laughing so hard and walked away a couple of times. lol yes i have realized that i have not told you yet how i am…. are you all ready for this???… THEY ARE NOT BROKEN!!! yes i said they… both , my right ankle was the main one i hurt, so i thought. the left one took the blow and hurts also. both swole up. so they looked at them both it was funny seeing the nurses face when i asked her…” now just how am i supposed to walk on crutches with two not one but two messed up feet?” she just shook her head and said “i dont know” put the splints on handed me the crutches and said i was free to go. BUT i did not escape without a stupid shot guess where the shot went…. YEP in the butt. i hate shots. lol well thats about all there is too it.

today’s comic is a perfect reason as to why i dont like clowns.

DigiF - I checked the bottom and both sides of the screen. Nothing. I also stood on my head to no avail. SIGH I’ll see if they respond to my questions.

YEAH — TABBYLYNN IS BACK!!! Glad to hear nothing was serious. I try to be the life of the ER when I have to go in there also. I’ve been told it’s a nervous reaction. I just think it’s the party animal in us coming out.

Well, I have had a busy day outdoors. Mowed, edged, used the weedeater, done some planting and enjoyed the sun. I use spell check to tabbylynn and it catches me all the time. But, it helps my spelling because I see the mistake and sometimes remember it.

One time I ran into a friend who I’ve known since K-garten. She was back visiting and I had my youngest teenaged son with me. She told him how lucky he was to have me as a mom, and he should appreciate me because I was a wonderful person! He was mad at me at that time, but his attitude changed after we left her and he wasn’t mad at me anymore!

i told my mom that they both hurt like _ (told her to fill in th blank) and i was crying and shaking bc it was so bad. so she took me to the hospital. it was funny. we ran into about 3 people we know. lol

CLEO: Thanks for the sunny weather that you sent our way! We got to go to the art fair today, and it was a very good one. It was all Western art, and there were a lot of bronzes, and beautiful drawings and paintings. There were also some carved stone art pieces. It’s a good thing my walls are full already.

Dry - I realized it was starting to get into troll bait, so I did say “enough on this topic”. I’m thankful that here if we express an opinion, people are kind enough to let it slide if it doesn’t match theirs. But you are right, there might be trolls who would crash our nice party.

TABBY!!! - So good to see you’re back, AND that nothing’s broken. Still no fun, but hopefully it will heal faster. I left a long comment to you on May 22nd. I’m sure the ER staff was glad for some levity, as it probably helped relieve some of the stress they experience. Unfortunately, I’ve had to be in the ER enough times (usually with someone else as the patient) that I know it is a stressful environment.

dcguys - I think I’ve had the same problem as you have. I’ve been able to get it back by going to “home” and clicking on the arrow for my group of comics again. I hope that helps, if not, disregard. :)

Shikamoo, I have the same problem. Many years ago I received a slab of marble that says “The only time I open my mouth is to change feet.” I do a little better written, as I try to re-read something before I hit send or post. However, I still manage. I hope all here knows we don’t mean any harm.

I love ribeye steaks, my favorites. I will take mine rare. Just cooked so they have a little warmth to the inside, if you will. I somehow knew that you and I would like the same kind of steak and I guess it is because we like the same kind of seafood.

Dry - a tenderloin is tough to cook because there is no fat. If you cook it, rare is best and it is good for marinades because it doesn’t have the fat to add flavor. If you like your steaks medium or well done a tenderloin is not a good choice.

CLEO AND JFRI: You are both great cooks. I wish I had a babeque here. Thanks for sharing your steaks JFRI.

DRY, I found a nice tenderloin in the back of the meat locker! How do you want it done?

CLEO, if I can’t cook it on the grill it ain’t worth eating! I am SO lost using a stove or oven. My daily schedule this weekend has been out bass fishing at 6:30, back in for breakfast by 9:00, out to go geocaching by 10:00, back to camp between 4;00. 5:00 for rum & Cokes, dinner (on the grill) around 6;00 and then chill for the evening.

Steak sounds good, although I’m full now. My favorite is usually a filet or sirloin. We had “chicken-fried steak” today. Southerners know what that is. KS is Yankee territory, but close enough to the south to be influenced by southern cooking. I’ve noticed that menus are starting to call it “country-fried steak”, because some people mistakenly think chicken-fried steak is fowl instead of beef.

JFri, I love to BBQ and I love to cook. I am a pretty good cook. My wife and I had issues when we first met, both of us wanted to be in the kitchen. I bowed to her desires and now I cook when she prefers not to. I have become the baker, so I make most of our bread.
