Happy Hump Day (or Wednesday if you prefer)! Breakfast smells heavenly Lonewolf but I’m guessing if we’re not careful it could be more on the fiery side. I agree the smell of a good breakfast in the making helps make waking up a more platable process. Here are some fresh fruit bites for snacking or to have with the tasty breakfast.

I get them from the store. The best ones to me are “El Milagro.” Those are yellow corn, which I prefer better than white corn. I can make flour tortillas.

A Blessed Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving again all. I had one heck of a busy day. I hung three pictures vacuumed the house cleaned two bathrooms, hosed off our flagstone patio entryway. Cleaned up a bunch of negatives, made the stuffing up to the actual in the oven segment and am now awaiting company and should be hear any minute. I kept myself company listening Gillian Welch and the Three Pickers (Doc Watson, Earl Scruggs and Ricky Scaggs). I am not sure how much posting I will be doing over the next day and a half. Just taking it one task at a time.

Well it is your birthday after all Doc. On my 50th I was on a photo safari around the U.S. and happened to be in Maine on the day of my birthday. I stopped at the Trenton Lobster pound, which I had been to before and ordered a 31/2 pound Lobster which I took outside to one of their oil cloth covered picnic tables. The sun was setting and I was looking out over the water quaffing beer and tearing through that lobster that I ate down to the shell. I will never forget it. Whatever you do, do what you like and try to make it a pleasant lifelong memory.

Well what I thought was my wife’s kids showing up, was our tenant’s friend. My wife called them and they informed her they are an hour out. We are having fish tacos tonight. The rice is done and the beans with ham hocks are done. Fortunately she had not cooked the fish. Nice of them to call and give us a head’s up. snerk.

That’s okay, Mopar! I think all of us are fine with the occasional ramble (and guilty of it ourselves.)

I’ll be quite scarce until next week. I’m leaving tomorrow to spend a few days with my hubby, in celebration of our 25th! It is SO nice to not HAVE to be with relatives for Thanksgiving. (I think this is the first time in my life, I won’t be with Mom. Not that I had a problem being with Mom & Dad, it was putting up with my siblings!) We’re making plans to go to FL for Christmas, to see in-laws, so I’ll have more than enough extended family time then.

Terry they will be here until Friday. It is my wife’s 2 kids and her son’s girlfriend. Tomorrow my mother in law, the boyfriend of my wife’s daughter, two friends and the uncle of the friends arrive. My wife and I have never met the two friends, the uncle or the boyfriend of her daughter. Hopefully they are a fun bunch and we can all have a good time. I know the group want to take guns up to the quarry on the hill up and back behind our house, to shoot at targets.

Thom Bluemel wanted me to tell you that it really helps a cartoonist if you favorite a cartoon, if you enjoy it. He says that it really make a difference to each of the cartoonists.

Mopar - I didn’t think it was really rambling, either, just didn’t want to contradict you. Since I’m yappy, and my husband isn’t, I never know exactly where the “ramble” line is at.
