in case it’s hard to make out detail, it’s a stuffed snowy owl which i saw in the interpretive centre at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump in Southern Alberta when i passed through there in the Fall of 2008. i remember when those types of places were called “museums.”

(i’m going to need to go to work in order to pay for it all, or at least to keep the budgeted funds in place.) i guess Christmas shopping is going to be tomorrow or Monday, but i hate cutting it so close.

Dry i do belive that Cleo’s avator is a very Built (if you will tone cute, in shape, etc.) snow man. with an apron around its waste. but thats just what i see. lol

so i was sitting here folding clothes trying to think of a reason not to fall asleep, i have none. my eyes are all droppy and i am so tired. didnt sleep enough last night. sigh have so much work to do around here its crazy. i am washing clothes right now about to put them in the dryer and need to get to the kitchen and clean up in there b4 wild child gets here. but i dont want to do anything at all.

Dry, I had heard that Chris Henry had life threatening injuries, but had not checked updates this morning. It is so sad considering the strides he had made to turn his past problems around. That was one instance where the owner of the team was correct in bringing him back for a second chance.

Carmy, I think that it was you who recommended the newest Star Trek movie. Well, I am just sitting down to watch it, alone. My wife has no interest. Her loss as far as I am concerned. Just stopping in now that I’ve caught up on reading comics for today. I think I finished my Christmas shopping today, but I need to get them ready to give. (I’d say wrap, but it is boxes & duct tape - no wrapping paper for my guys’ presents. They like it that way, and I save $!) We’re doing Christmas this weekend, because we’ll be heading to FL on the 23rd, meeting my hubby at his trailer, and leaving from there shortly after he gets off work. This way we can pack any opened gifts we want to use on the trip, and not take what we don’t. I ended up spending more than I wanted - ended up buying a new set of tires for my PT. One tire had a slow leak - broken belt. At least I was at Sam’s (free tire repair for members!) and they had what I needed in stock. It also helped the steering - we were afraid it needed aligned, because it kept pulling to the right (the rt front tire was the one with the broken belt). Now with the new tires, it drives straight. Hurray! I’ve got to head into town again tomorrow, to spend more time going through Mom’s stuff, oh joy. But the sooner we get the house on the market and sold, the better.

Mopar, Wolfangil & I are glad that all went well with Mrs. Mopar.

My aunt is sort of the same way. She’s the last surviving child out of their family of 9 kids, with two sisters (my mom being one) dying this year. She’s the youngest, and both sisters were in ill health for some time, so not a real shock, but still hard. I was thankful she had visited Mom back in January, and was also able to come for the funeral (from CO). My cousin is very helpful to her mom & dad, since they don’t like driving this far by themselves, now that they’re over 80, and took off work to drive them.

hi Tribe condolences to Terry and family, (and hugs). Hugs also to MoPar & Mrs. Mitch. Shika the avatar didn’t have too much to eat (however, I did)! it was in the museum at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump (i just love that name) which I visited in the Fall of 2008 on my Canadian Drive-By vacation. I drove 11000 km (around 6900 miles for my American friends) and saw more stuffed large animals than live ones. (and i never managed to get pictures of the live ones.) i saw a deer in Jasper, AB; a small black bear outside of Dorion, ON; and a fox in Thunder Bay, ON. no moose, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, buffaloes, etc. i guess it would have helped if i’d had a spotter to look for beasties while i was driving, but it was a solo trip.
