    Good morning, Everyone……

We’re heading out to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone Nat’l Parks for a few days. It is our favorite time of year…..fall colors, tour buses are gone, and so are the tourists that stop in the middle of the road! Should see all those baby buffalo that are now teenagers, and maybe a mating challenge by them and the elk, too.

So, if you don’t hear from me for a few more days……….

    Happy Trails….:)))

The Chiefs are a football team that hasn’t done well for some time. A few years ago they got the quarterback Joe Montana to help them which he did. He was reaching retirment and soon quit. Since then they have lost most games. Others though could do a better job of explaing them, as I said, I don’t really keep up on football. :-)

Since I am a Duke Blue Devil basketball fan, I have to have espn channels to watch them and it is still a hassle with the networks after our $$. Most people who are not Dukies don’t like them but they are good kids for the most part, with a wonderful coach and staff.

I don’t know if Netflex will have enough of what I like but will try the free month soon to see what they have and if it would be worth getting, at only $9 a month I could afford it. Too many new movies substitute special effects for good writting, acting, directing, etc. Watching impossible things I don’t care for like the scene of a helicopter flying over a train while going through a tunnel (whatever show that was, I don’t know that I saw all of it but it had a high rating).

    Good evening, Tribeandall.

So much to catch up on and comment on.

I don’t do Netflix. They’re not the kind of movies I like. I have my own library, which I like to watch during basketball season and most of the baseball season. Of course, Lewreader would probably want me to trade in my NFL Sunday Ticket for MLB Extra innings so that I can follow the Sox. For the few games I would be interested in (Red Sox/Yankees) that just ain’t happening.

Sojourner, ESPN is part of the ABC family, but it is true that there are people out there who may not get it, thought it is part of my package as well as the NFL Network. Locally if the Texans play on Monday or Thursday night, the game will be on local television, but it’s probably one of the few games I’d prefer to miss.

The Chefs are only 3-0, they had a bye this week-end.

LuvChaos, you certainly like to cause it don’t you? If you’re going to cheer for the Yankees, I’m going to have to borrow Doctor Toon’s snow-a-pult. I may not have any snow, but I’m sure I can think of something to toss your way.

Forget the popcorn, I’m getting the Bugles, Jalapeno dip and beer. *It’s game time!

Hi Kab - Good to hear from you.

Thanks Grog - I have dropped SkyAngel. The only TV I get is over the air. I’ll try the free Netflex test to see what they have. I looked at their sample shows they have on their web site and was not impressed. I will continue to see what’s free over the internet also. I don’t want to waste too much time watching the tube. I have a lot of music CDs and will probably spend my time listening to them. I have actually worn out a lot of CD players, some amplifiers and at least two good sets of speakers (not by playing too loud but too much).

Sojourner, If your don’t get ESPN, you probably don’t get TCM either. Pity, because I think you’d love that station.

    I’ve been watching

    DANCING WITH THE STARS####

for 8 years. This will end towards Thanksgiving and start back up in spring. The professionals are fantastic and stars try. If I tried it I would be first one booted off. They can position their body’s parts where I can’t. I am addicted to the show. Florence Henderson Is on it and she has been in audience for 8 years. Plus they introduce new shows coming. This is so better then losy football.

hi Kab. in answer to your earlier question about Columbus Day, we Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving Day on the same day as you Americans celebrate Columbus Day. this year, i’ll likely be celebrating our Thanksgiving by recovering from my trip to Princeton for my Nephew’s wedding. i’ll be leaving Wed. morning and returning Sunday night. as for Dancing with the D List, i’ve never missed it - i work a steady afternoon shift and can’t miss what i’ve never seen. (though almost anything would be better than a lousy football game. a good football game, though….)

I didn’t realize I’ve been ignoring that show for that long, Kab. Not quite as long as I’ve been ignoring American Idol, but long enough.

Thanks for answering the question yyyguy. I have a hard time keeping up. Have a safe travel to Nephew’s wedding. There been cousin’s have been married and I and my sis have never been invited. Best thing about Dancing and I knew already no one here watches this fantastic show, the wardrobe corrodinator take care dresses and clothes no accidents. Past shows had accident’s which hamper the dancers. I’m not a football or sports inthustics at all. When others here on BT talk about it I leave and do other things. Though I will admit one timeBBS made it fun just reading her bi-play.

yyyguy, I used to get TVO when I lived in Montreal for a while, until they switched up the cable line up

But I used to watch a lot of TVO or one of the PBS stations. (I believe Poland Springs, Maine.) We also got another PBS station out of Plattsburg, NY, I believe. They had a great British comedy lineup that included Red Dwarf & Keeping Up Appearances. They also broadcast reruns of the old Avengers series.

i’m not putting down anyone’s favourite shows or hobbies (or anything else, for that matter). i’m a firm believer in “live and let live” and think most of the Tribe feels the same way. however, we also like to tease each other from time to time (gently, of course). as for hobbies, my main one these days is photography. i just bought a new camera body (digital) to go with the lenses i owned previously (slightly cheaper than buying a whole new outfit) and took a trip to Niagara Falls on Friday to learn how to use it before the wedding of the decade happens on Saturday. anyone who is interested can check my albums on PhotoBucket (and i know some of you are). latest pics won’t go up for a week or so, too much to do before i leave for New Jersey.

Well, as mentioned previously I do beadwork, mostly in seed beads, making jewelry and artwork.

Been working on a new necklace while watching House and The Event. House is still good, even with him bleeep Cuddy every chance he gets. The Event is building slowly but surely. The actress who played Dr. Weaver on *ER* plays the chief alien. It’s hard to tell who are the good guys and who are the bad guys.

Gotta bug out. got some stuff to tidy up before bed time.

Good Night Kab?. If not then I’ll tell you that it depends on what I’m in the mood for, but I can do some Irish, German, Cajun the French Canadian Tourtierre (meat pie) and perhaps some more traditional fare, just kicked up a bit. I don’t like boring & bland foods. I try to make up for the times I go crazy with the not-so-good-for-you foods on week days. But week-ends and Holidays, I will knock myself out.

Another blocked kick. A field goal attempt goes for a touchdown for the Patriots. 34-14 Pats.

I wonder if Lewreader would even be happy with that.

I think there is enough of a link since I know Lonewolf Let’s see James is 14, Birthday??, he is a high school fresh meat. He has his first girl friend, likes working on cars and watching sports with his dad. Yup! That is enough. Someone broadcast James’ games.
