Just popping in to say “Good Day” to all who will be here.

I have to tell you that you folks here at BT are amongst the neatest folks around! Thanks for all your good wishes.

Tomorrow will hopefully be a really good travel day, just rain in the forecast. Hopefully all the snow is behind us and tomorrow’s trip should only take about 7 hours. We will be visiting family and friends and should be able to visit with you folks, too!

Traffic is getting worse and worse. Have to go thru Vegas tomorrow….ugh!!!! At the California agriculture inspection station, they check to see if you are bringing in any infected produce…..well, I understand that they hand out Valium to out of state drivers to help them with the traffic!!!!!!!

    Good Afternoon Tribe

A fairly nice, calm week at work, though I did get an a–h–e at about 4:58 on Wednesday. I was trying to get the proper shipper from him and it kept going round and round. Finally I made the booking to check it out the next day. The next day came and it was canceled. Hmm, looks like my rat sniffer is still working. But I got 1/2 hour overtime, which will come out to be about 78 cents when the feds and state get done.

I scored 2 turkeys at 39 cents a pound. Two 15#ers one for Thanksgiving and one for Christmas. I need to start concentrating on the canned good at the store now, I don’t even have any beets left. Sniff. But it’ll get better, My hubby passed his coding class and is working on the next classes. Spring can’t come soon enough.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows is wonderful!! A friend let us use her card and we saw it at the IMAX. IT was really great! I think it was 3-D. My hubby says it wasn’t because we didn’t have to wear glasses, but I think the technology’s good enough to where we won’t need the glasses. Anyway, it was huge, wonderful and great!! Not too crowded either. I highly recommend the movie, especially to Potter fans.

I was naive enough to think the moon would be blue. But I got to see a full lunar eclipse when I was about 11-12, stayed up to see it with my friend, Cindy. It was spooky sitting on the curb looking up, and when it turned that rusty red it was scary at 4am in the morning. We dashed inside Cindy’s house and peered out the kitchen window at it. It was gorgeous. I had just had some teeth pulled the day before for my braces, 1 incisor, 1 canine and two premolars. Mom thought I was nuts, but I was keenly interested in space and such.

Rmom - Since everything went so easy he didn’t think the vent was getting clogged and something else was wrong with the dryer. After explaining everything to him he looked inside the shop vac and it was full of lent! Dryer should be fine now. I’ve been here about 25 years now and about half that time ago I started having dryer trouble and I fixed it by cleaning the vent. I had to shake it all out then creating a hugh mess! This time it was quick and simple.

I’ve noticed that seems to be a common problem with dryers. I had to buy a new one not too long ago. At the time, I replaced our flexible duct with a rigid one, per the dryer instruction booklet. I do think it will be less likely to clog up than the flexible type.

Rmom, I’ve already replace the bad section of line and bled the system and test drove it. I’m waiting on the customer to pick it up now.

Lonewolf♠ - When I was a new driver I bought an old car and had the break line split like that while I was driving. I was able to get stopped before having a wreak. It was just before getting on a fast highway.

Lil’ Sis - Thermostats, heating elements, belts, timers, etc. - there’s plenty of stuff that can break on a dryer. Sojo - If your dryer is in the basement, I can see where that could make a long path to the outdoors. Since I designed our house, I put the laundry room on the 2nd floor (closer to the planned bedrooms) against the north exterior wall (back side of the house).

I clean the filter after every load I dry but after several years what gets through the filter gets stuck on the flexable hose and builds up. I have replaced a bad heating element for a friend but I have a gas dryer so I knew that couldn’t be going out.

Hi Bye RMom Enjoyed all the shopvac, dryer, car repair talk with scattered lint removal from one or the other. *: ) Have a good evening.

Little Sis Thank you for asking…I have had a good day. Just ran a load of clothes and they are drying. My sickly cat is better and I am thankful.

If I have time, I will check in tomorrow before leaving. I don’t have a laptop to take with me.

Sorry I missed you Rmom. My customer showed up and picked up their car. It takes two to three hours depending on where you’re replacing the section at. It took me 2 hours because I needed to flare the remaining end that I cut and adapt a bubble flare section in at the rear hose fitting. Good Night & rest well, Lady!

I have to admit I don’t like something rotten. I like variety - weather, light, etc. and that now seems to be with food as well. I’m sure I could find somethings I don’t like but I’ll try about anything. One thing I tried a long time ago I couldn’t force myself to eat much, but to protect everyone I won’t tell what it was. :-)

    That’s why I won’t mention some things. :-)

I have a cousin-in-law that grew up in Africa (her dad taught there for a while). At the time of year when ants were flying school would let out so the kids could catch and eat them. The were sweet having a lot of sugar content. In that culture it was just normal. Some ants in the US desert are prized for their sweet taste as well.
