Right now I am reading “The Ministry for tge Future” by Kim Robinson. Sci-fi, but based on hard science, data and evidence. The author did their homework.
Thank-you, Rosemary. So accurately portrayed and pretty much the same ploy the plastics industry has used over the years to put the onus on us of cleaning up the mess they’ve made.
A nice summation of the opportunistic “arguments” on behalf of vested interests. “Arguing in the alternative” is recognized as legally valid, but it’s not logically valid. (You know, “1) I didn’t borrow your lawn mower; 2) it didn’t work when I borrowed it; 3) it was working perfectly when I returned it”.)
