I’m not sure if it’s more surprising that this cartoon was done today or that no one knows that this was one of Far Side’s most famous cartoons.

I wish I’d seen that cartoon! I don’t remember ever having seen it and I thought I had read every Far Side cartoon ever made. So much for chicken soup for the cartoonists! I wonder where Larson got the idea…

NOTHING is new and I’m sure Larson was thinking what I was thinking when he made his cartoon. I’ll bet he was thinking, “I sure hope Bluemel isn’t thinking about this idea…”

Otherwise, I have no more thoughts on the matter. I do have a question for eardroppings, though: Can you tell me when Larson published that cartoon?

Would love to know.

Eardroppings, I was busy yesterday, or I would have mentioned it. It was the first thing I thought of.

I’d tell you when the Far Side one was published, but the closest I can get is, “Many years back.”

According to Whapsi Square and its comments, Egg drop soup might be the new chicken soup…

What else could possibly be better for bird flu than chicken soup?
