But seriously folk, this morning at 0 dark hundred I ran dripping from my shower to answer a call from my shrink (sounded like teenage girls giggling in the background). I am going to have to survive for 14 days without mental health help. You can help the mentally unstable by not mentioning FACES for the next two weeks. THOM will thank you if I stop stalking him.

I looked for Lew’s book at Books A Million, but to no avail….

I see faces nowhere, not in the clouds, mountaintops, ground, robe, hair..nowhere. Now I shall put on my glasses.

This is not the wise man on the mountain, this is his cousin the wise guy.

To all my readers,

Sadly, I will not be posting any cartoons for a few days. My internet has gone kaflooey and the Powers That Be can’t give me any kind of solution until midweek. I apologize, but that’s why there is no toon for today. It’s not very funny, really, but maybe it makes the whole GoComics site just a little funnier to be without my insanity for a few days. I hope someone can forgive me… for giving is better than receiving.

@ The Blue, Montana Lady, & Dryi hope i don’t go into withdrawal before then. and what about poor Lewreader? how is he to get his daily dose of faces in the background? just think where this might lead? it could cause, (insert shocked gasp) SANITY!

Why did I come to this strip when there is no new toon? Have I now became a masochist and have a desire to relive past pain? My shrink is gone, but perhaps if I visited Doc Toon for some of his World Famous remedy?

I am concerned about fearless leader Thom…He’s been missing for days now.

Now I’ll have to practice the least of my virtues, Patience!

Almost there. Hopefully Thom’s computer issues will be resolved by Thursday.

I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me Librium or give me Meth.I’ve surrendered to going to Quack in a Box where for $85 (uncovered by by insurance) I can see a “doctor” who speaks some English but has a large prescription pad. Can I fax ML the bill?If you stare at the comic a L O N G time, you will see all sorts of things. At least I do. Is THOM bringing true enlightment?

Well, I’ve always thought that Wednesday was “midweek”, but……………..it’s hard to be patient waiting for one of your favorite things!!!

And, Sir Lew…. calm down, now, Sweetie, Thom will bring us all sorts of new joys to find faces in…….and since you’ve been “without” for so long, maybe you will be able to spot the faces before I do!!!!

So he’s basically sitting there waiting to tell people they’re dumb? Doesn’t sound to me like the way a wise man would choose to live his life. (And if he says it to the wrong person, he might get pushed off!)

Rereading the caption makes me wonder if that’s John Wayne after he retired.
