Don’t criticize a person’s last words! Just offer some alternatives for the guy to consider. “I curse you all!” or “I’ll be back when you least expect me!” or “I’m innocent!” or “I’d do it all again if I could!”
If I were the commandant, I’d probably commute the guy’s sentence just for giving me a laugh. But herewith some possible comebacks from the condemned man:
“Hmm . . . not very memorable, is it? How about taking me back to my cell and giving me time to think up something deeper and more profound? Shouldn’t take me more than, oh, I don’t know, 30 years.”
“I never was good at thinking on my feet.”

“Yeah, well — ‘I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country’ was already taken.”
“Well, #@%*%# you, you #$%&%, why should I give a $#&& what you think?” (If you’re about to be executed, you might as well go out with a bang — so to speak.)
