First time I heard the mother of all words was when I was 2-3 rd grade. Back in the late 40’s! Two neighborhood kids asked me to sing Yankee Doodle with all the words starting with the letter F! This was on a bus, mind you. So I sang the song and of course they giggled when I came to the word Stuck a feather…..you got it!
So I went home and back then everyone was sitting on their front porches and from the sidewalk I yelled to my parents what does #uck mean? I never saw my parents move so fast and went in the house…embarrassed to death…I knew then, that word was very bad. Oy. College of Hard Knocks!
