Wrap Up In Comics To Brace Yourself For 'The Mummy'
by The GoComics TeamUniversal's Tom Cruise-fronted The Mummy re-re-reboot looks to be quite the movie. Arriving in theaters this weekend, The Mummy follows Kong: Skull Island in Universal's new series of blockbustery shared universe films. Unlike its predecessors, this new Mummy takes the focus off of petrified bandaged dudes in favor of a (mostly) beautiful superpowered woman covered in sick tats. To be fair, we've only seen three trailers (and the hilarious version that's missing music and sound effects), so the film's final contents could fit a more traditional horror mode. Either way, it's not a bad idea to pack your brain with mummy comics before exposing it to a potentially volatile mix of ancient myth and movie magic. Enjoy!

The Mummy – and other horror films, just wouldn’t be the same without Boris Karloff. His voice, alone, would give you chills down your spine.

Is the new Mummy movie even connected to the old ones?

I love the Boris Karloff movie too! His version has such mystery and angst about it – something this shallow modern interpretation will never have.
