It's kind of wild to consider that a 20-year-old Mary Shelley penned Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus all the way back in 1818. Her novel about the terrifying consequences of meddling in God's domain is just shy of 200 years old! Shelley herself would be 220 today... if she'd been a patient of Dr. Frankenstein. Fans of the monster-creating classic will simply have to settle for her novel and its near-countless adaptations being immortal in their hearts, brains -- y'know, all of the valuable organs.
