Ignore me if I’m wrong here, but it seems to me that each generation thinks that they and they alone did big, meaningful, important things and set a standard for coolness that will never be surpassed. And therefore the next generation is a bunch of shallow twits and the previous generation was a bunch of stodgy weenies.
So, please allow me to share a little observation: we’re all humans and, therefore, deep down in our very souls; we’re all crazy.
EJCapulet - I think the Korean War generation dodged that bullet. Of course, 26 years later, conservatives still like to tell themselves they’re rebellious non-conformists because they aren’t liberals.

In 1985, I was the only hippie on campus. You couldn’t buy tie-dyes back then, so I made my own. I even sometimes wore flowers in my hair.
