By the time I had recovered from having my chest & leg ripped open to repair my heart I was pretty much over the addiction. Haven’t smoked since. Over 30 years.
Never took up the habit myself. My Mom is trying to stop one more time. Hope she makes as she wants to move in to retirement village that is strictly No Smoking…

All it took for me to quit was a man I loved who hated cigarette smoking. Haven’t smoked one since 1978, and don’t miss it at all.

My grandfather died in early 2005 from emphysema caused by smoking a whole pack a day. To this day I gag whenever i smell tobacco smoke…
