Oliver Wendell Jones is one of my favorite characters. He’s worthy of a strip of his own, and animation after that.
Even during Jimmy Carter’s term in office, more people knew the name of Dudley DoRight’s horse than knew the name of Carter’s VP.
Mondale’s still waiting.
A dated strip still worthy of laughs as Jesse Jackson was replaced by Jussie Smollett, who also evinced “…a certain oratorical flair…”
For the younger set, that orange box is a TV, from back when they were three-dimensional objects. They actually used to take up space.
Hmmm. That’s about how I react when someone shouts “Hallelujah” in close proximity.
Yet when I hear the song “Hallelujah” bu Leonard Cohen I am gently moved.
Run Jesse Run.
Yeah, that brings back memories.
Portnoy needs to find a less excitable pillow….
The Reverend Jackson did a Q&A with my daughter’s civics class. She asked him what his favorite day in Black History is, and he replied: “My birthday”.
