Huey: I suppose I like "Star Wars" because it is a story about a revolution, and I am a revolutionary. Man: Interesting. Huey: Given that the original story was written in the mid-seventies, I think "Star Wars" was meant to be allegorical to the anti-colonial struggles that had only recently taken place on the continents of Africa and Asia - not to mention the struggle for black liberation here in the United States. Man: Hmmmm...Nope. I just don't see the connection. I think you're reading too much into the movie. Huey: ...Said the man with "Yoda is God" on his T-shirt.
Crazy Guy could have at least brought up how there was only on notable Black character(Lando) in the Original Trilogy, who initially betrayed Han to the Empire before changing sides. If Star Wars had anything to do with Black Liberation during its inception, it sure did get one Heck of a White Washing before hitting the Cinema.
