The Boondocks by Aaron McGruder for June 10, 2010
Transcript:
Huey: Is it still, um...what's-it-called season? Caesar: What, hunting season? Huey: Naw...you know...that game, the real boring one...with the ball and...people standing around...you know...first they weren't going to play, but then they did, but nobody really cared that much... Caesar: You mean baseball? Huey: That's it!!

From a potential strike to a perfect game every two weeks, but the Orioles still suck.

Not saying anything against any damned pinstriped team but–didn’t the Yankees lose 1, 2, 3 times to the Orioles? Just wondering in New England, Ha ha ha ha

….and here I always thought Huey was a smart guy. Apparently he’s not smart enough to understand baseball! I guess he should stick to something less brainy like, hmmmmm, soccer! Riley would fit right in with the ‘soccer hooligan’ types. :) At least nowadays, in 2010, baseball is undergoing a resurgence, yaaaaay! GO TWINS!!

Is Boondocks really back? They were great back when first started but I have seen nothing but repeats for many years.
If back I am really glad to see it as his political commenting and social satire was really great. A counterpoint to Mallard Fillmore and Prickly City has been badly needed.

timbob2313, several years ago Aaron McGruder stopped producing the newspaper comic in order to concentrate on the TV series, and has shown no inclination to return to static cartooning. The strip above is 7½ years old.
