Apparently Granddad is ignorant of acting as a false prophet. That is what one becomes when they claim to be a message from the Lord, The biblical penalties for being a false prophet are severe and were carried out, if not by God’s people then by God. Read 1 and 2 Kings, 1 and 2 Chronicles, and the prophetic books of the old testament for examples.
