Bugs me too.

I have to admit, she’s my favorite PEANUTS character!

I think it’s mandatory for comic strips to make at least one Peanuts or Garfield reference.

It marks the beginning of Football Season.

I’m with Huey.

In his sophomore in year high school my little brother was (besides a tight end on offense and end on defense) the place kicker. They trained and trained to “Once the kicker starts his approach, you follow through, even if the whistle blows”.

Game day, he starts his approach, the whistle blows, and….the holder pulls the ball. Baby brother exists the game in an ambulance to go get the first of what turned out to be many knee surgeries, including replacements.

OK, he was silly enough to keep playing through 2 years of college, so it isn’t all the holder’s fault, but that was the start. Lucy was a cruel, evil little beyotch.
