in that case, louise, you’d better smile and be polite to the waiter throughout the entire event - especially before the meal is served.
the best place for me to eat is at home. the food tastes great; the service is to die for; and you don’t have to leave a tip.
i will admit, however, that my wife and i did enjoy celebrating our anniversary at the outback. our waiter was good, and we would have left a larger tip if it weren’t for the service charge included in the bill.
