May a fistful of tips come your way
Both Jon Arbuckle and Guitar Bob must envy this guy.
I hear that the bagpipe player gets $30 + tips.
Groucho: What do you get an hour?
Chico: For playing, we get-a ten dollars an hour.
Groucho: I see. What do you get for not playing?
Chico: Twelve dollars an hour. Now for rehearsing we make special rates. That’s-a fifteen dollars an hour.
Groucho: And what do you get for not rehearsing?
Chico: You couldn’t afford it. You see, if we don’t rehearse, and if we don’t-a play, that runs into money.
That is, if everything goes accordion to plan.
Don’t tip the strolling tone deaf violin player. It encourages him and he won’t go away. His violin playing curdled wine.
“How much for not standing by our table?”
“You couldn’t afford it.”
(Apologies to the Marx Brothers)
Get bagpipes, you’ll really be raking it in.
I like good accordion playing. Among the best are the Polka King and even better was his son with the jokes.
Reminds me of websites and tv shows who want you to pay them NOT to bombard you with ads.
