I like the new UPS My Choice (they just give me a window for deliveries, but that’s OK).
What is more annoying are the messages as you wit on the phone for the cable company’s tech – telling me that I “might be able to find my answer online at the web address”. Do they REALLY bloody well think I’d be on the phone (on hold) if my internet were up?!!
They just leave ‘em on the porch around here….Not a problem….Where’s it gonna go….?
Susan, when I substitute teach, I have to take attendance…..So the first thing I do is announce that I’m going do that, so listen up! And then I say, OK, anybody who’s not here raise your hand…Responses vary, some get it right away and others look confused….A good teacher, who knows how to work the room, will pause long enough for the others to get it…or have it explained to them…Which generally comes out as “He was joking!”…… It works best in sixth grade…….But it gets things off to a good start…..

Sigh….. the joke is that the Fed-Ex guy keeps telling him to be home to accept delivery at 3:00….
But how could he comply? He didn’t have a clock, until he GOT the delivery.
Recursive humor.Kinda like how my favorite thing to write on a postcard is “Let me know if you don’t get this.”
(Well, I’m easily amused, OK?)
