Some humor is timeless. Three-quarters of this is.

Sighā€¦.. the joke is that the Fed-Ex guy keeps telling him to be home to accept delivery at 3:00ā€¦.

But how could he comply? He didnā€™t have a clock, until he GOT the delivery.

Recursive humor.Kinda like how my favorite thing to write on a postcard is ā€œLet me know if you donā€™t get this.ā€

    (Well, Iā€™m easily amused, OK?)

I like the new UPS My Choice (they just give me a window for deliveries, but thatā€™s OK).

What is more annoying are the messages as you wit on the phone for the cable companyā€™s tech ā€“ telling me that I ā€œmight be able to find my answer online at the web addressā€. Do they REALLY bloody well think Iā€™d be on the phone (on hold) if my internet were up?!!

They just leave ā€˜em on the porch around hereā€¦.Not a problemā€¦.Whereā€™s it gonna goā€¦.?

Susan, when I substitute teach, I have to take attendanceā€¦..So the first thing I do is announce that Iā€™m going do that, so listen up! And then I say, OK, anybody whoā€™s not here raise your handā€¦Responses vary, some get it right away and others look confusedā€¦.A good teacher, who knows how to work the room, will pause long enough for the others to get itā€¦or have it explained to themā€¦Which generally comes out as ā€œHe was joking!ā€ā€¦ā€¦ It works best in sixth gradeā€¦ā€¦.But it gets things off to a good startā€¦..
