woman: What in Heavens name is that1? Harry, its taking out car! Gerund Theft Auto
Is that a Z-inger, or what?
It’s Ing-Rattitude.
After all the nouns I’ve let it verb.
Some of them shouldn’t have been verbed at all….
I would say “ingrate”, but it would merely be laying it on after Susan has shown us the way.
That’s why a positive precedes a gerund. It stole it.
It’s headed for the red-light district where it hopes to be prepositioned.
At any rate, it’s a misproportioned 1957 Chevrolet!
Don’t you just hate the end of spring?
Clever
Call the grammar police!
“Is that your exhaust pipe dragging? No, it’s my participle dangling!”
Is that car carrying the text, with subtitle I presume, of a “blessyou” for her sneeze?
Is it possible Dan doesn’t know how to pronounce ‘gerund’? The joke would make more sense if the word were pronounced with a hard G.
This would be funny if “gerund” were pronouced with a hard G. Since it’s pronounced “jerund”, not so much… :(
