    Not here. I drive one of those subcompacts and regularly see the pickup trucks parking across lines, taking two – and in some cases three spots. Never see the small cars do that. It’s always the pickups.

    Around here it is all vehicle types that do it. I think some lots use a smaller space in order to have additional spaces ( just a theory). My 10yr old PU truck hasn’t gotten any wider (unlike me) but I have found that parking in newer parking lots is a little more difficult. Plus most lots use straight rather than diagonal spaces.Though nothing explains the motorcycles I have seen parked right on the line.

    I’ve seen a full-size school bus parked in a compact spot before. It took up two compact spots in front of each other, so length wasn’t a problem. Width on the other hand… Really wish I’d gotten a picture of it.
