Re Congress: Where exactly are we finding people making better decisions? Not that I like what they’re doing in Congress, but I’m not too impressed by the private sector’s screw-ups either.
Cdward, I agree. There’s not much there in Congress, there’s not much there in the private sector, and so that’s why I recommend we turn everything over to cats and dogs.
Admittedly, there’d be huge subsidies for favored projects, but I could live with subsidizing chew toys, catnip, and fish, as opposed to everything that we subsidize now.
Cats and dogs never stay awake long enough to have long wars and anybody who’s lived with one knows that pets are exceptionally good at managing humans.
As a retired sock-monkey, I resent the many implications hinted at in the fifth panel. Some of the most respected debaters and philosophers have been sock-monkeys. Some of my most challenging debates have been with geniuses like Brewster. I demand an apology or I will sue sue sue!

Stupid is where you’ve been for a long time Brewster. It’s impossible to improve on that.

You’ll never be known as stupid, Brewster; no one would believe you’re that smart.

If we have dogs in Congress, then we’d have a fire hydrant in front of every home!
