He was a truly memorable character, Brewster.

Remember the Simpsons time travel episode of Treehouse of Horror? After changing the world a dozen times, Homer finally makes it to a world where everyone is back to normal — except that the family has forked tongues. Homer thinks about this for a second, then goes, “eh, close enough…”

Well, that’s the theory anyway

Now lets talk about “spleen” theory.

My memory may be faulty here, but I “remember” a scene in the TV series “Sliders” where the lead, Jerry McConnell thinks he has made it back to “his” world. Then he opens the front gate to his home and it doesn’t squeak.

@ChessPirate: Embarrassed to admit I watched “Sliders,” but yes: that scene happened. The sliders decide that’s the wrong world & portal along to the next. We then see Jerry’s mom talking to a neighbor about how she finally had the gate fixed…

E= MT-rex

I thought it and “Quantum Leap”, which is somewhat similar, were both well done with interesting stories.

I wonder if Mr. Rickard had a high fever when writing this one.
