Once you get the package opened you can’t takeit back to the store if somethings wrong with itbecause most stores have a no return policy onopened merchandise.
MARG! Since you avoid flying I guess you won’t bemaking a trip to Hawaii anytime soon.
It’s not so much shrink wrap per se, really, as it is molded seamless plastic packaging that defeats me. I end up morphing into a slasher-film villain until I’ve dismembered it….
Use a good quality pair of scissors. The cheap ones break. A very sharp, paring knife [no serrations on the blade] will do the job. Just don’t stab yourself when the blade finally pokes through. Thicker packaging requires a bigger knife. Enjoy the day… :-)
I believe it is not shrink wrap, but molded hard plastic. Shrink wrap is similar to Saran Wrap, comes on a role, & is used to wrap items on a pallet for shipping. I have used a lot of it.
take sizzers cut full circle anything less than fullcircle and it wont open. check back for access panel cut there. razors backfire and u end up cutting the product..
do you have an attached garage, could be useful if engine left running. at a town house where my friend lived neighbor was so tired in the morning they started car without opening garage door….good thing friend noticed and was able to open door and wake up the person in car. anyway, co detector might help in such a situation
Just gimme a utility knife, and I got a bunch of ‘em. They’re sharp, cut straight, and, zip, slice, zip, you get that molded plastic package open in no time!

I’ve always thought that the shrink wrap, as well as the molded plastic packaging, is a communist plot by the Chinese to demoralize America.

Winston likes to use one of his used and old Victory razor blades to get those open; that’s why he can’t loan any to his neighbor

When did we have to start using wire snips to get the toys out of the boxes? And why? Seems like a lot of money wasted on unnecessary packaging.
